拥有17年在英国国际发展部（DFID）援华项目、联合国开发计划署（UNDP）、世界银行集团国际金融公司（IFC）和英国外交部（FCO）、联合国环境规划署（UNEP）等国际组织任职和参与国际合作项目的经验。目前任上海市发改委低碳社区创建项目评审专家、世界自然基金会（WWF）高级顾问。她在发展类或融资类项目，尤其在国际发展项目开发设计和管理有着丰富的经验。她擅长议题包括可持续发展、小额信贷、能效投融资、绿色金融政策研究和实践、生态系统管理与评测、企业社会责任。自2014年起，她开始关注环境公众教育，并正积极向教育界和环保界人士跨界学习。荣获英国大使馆文化教育处“2017最佳英国校友奖”之社会影响力奖。
作为中国大陆第一个铜铟镓硒（CIGS）太阳能薄膜分布式电站家庭用户，她也积极在社区中推广新能源在家庭中的利用和践行绿色生活方式，曾被上海电视台、新华社、《财新》杂志、《解放日报》、《上海日报》、《申江服务导报》、《闵行报》、法国国家电台、英国伦敦的《中外对话》、法国第四频道电视台、日本NHK国际频道、荷兰绿色和平、西班牙一家可持续发展主题刊物、美国America Abroad电台节目等中外媒体报道。她也积极应邀为《中华环境》、《世界环境》、《交大巴黎高科评论》等刊物撰稿，默默地在国际主流媒体中为中国政府应对气候变化各项落地在社区的政策和项目代言。
为了积极推广绿色生活方式和可持续消费，她在上海生活的社区与社区居民于2016年注册成立了上海闵行区江川绿色光年环保服务中心，担任创始理事。自2015年夏以来，她已经在自己家里接待了前来参观的社会公众4000多人，平均每天接待5个陌生人，其中包括中国浦东干部学院“生态文明班”厅局级领导干部53人，学院网络教学部的党总支学习考察团7人。一年多以来，绿色光年的影响力逐渐扩大之后，也前后一共服务了社区和学校中超过6000多人次，传播绿色生活和可持续消费的环保理念。
来她家参观的人群中，已经约有15户家庭回家后陆续安装了家庭太阳能电站，数十户人家购买了新能源汽车，更多的居民效仿她开始做厨余垃圾堆肥做起了阳台种植。在她和居委会的积极推动下，于2016年4月，在她所在的社区里落地了上海市第一个社区级别的集中式充电桩停车场，解决小区新能源汽车车主们的停车难和充电难的问题。其中，在本居委中，有五户家庭在她的影响下，进行了自家的低碳改造，其中两户住一楼的住户，也承诺开放给绿色光年常年开放的“低碳参观”项目的参观团。
在她的努力推广下，于2017年1月开始，绿色光年还与联合国环境署、联合国粮农组织、中华环保联合会、瑞典环境科学研究院、中科院地理所、上海市慈善教育培训中心等机构合作主办了“2017中国青少年环境论坛”的上海分论坛，并在论坛之下，主办了“可持续发展和我们的食物”减少食物浪费主题的中国青少年环保创意赛暨挑战赛，并从中选拔了来自上海数十所高校和中小学校的优秀作品120多项，极大地激发了青年人参与环保的热情。
她的工作吸引了很多青少年教育基地的注意。其中，绿色光年获得上海交通大学钱学森图书馆的邀请，自2016年12月起，在钱学森图书馆开设了常设的环保动手做周末亲子课堂，受到广泛好评。绿色光年还与钱学森图书馆社教部联合策划了第一次“重走深森路”西北环保科技夏令营（7月16-26日），本营培训吸收了共计8名长期服务于绿色光年的大学生志愿者担任夏令营的随队志愿者，他们都获得了非常宝贵的学习和锻炼机会，并获得了营员和营员家长们高度赞誉。绿色光年还在实践钱学森“沙产业理论”的恩格贝沙漠，收到当地管委会邀请，在当地成立一个青年人参与的绿色发展和生态体验的实践服务基地。
此外，8月3-8日，作为世界自然保护联盟宣教委员会中国专家委员的倪欢，还联合世界自然保护联盟的会员机构和专家、联合国开发计划署负责生物多样性的项目官员、联合国环境规划署-同济大学环境与可持续发展学院的专家、研究可持续发展的建筑师一起开展了中国第一个生态县浙江省安吉县的生态体验夏令营，取得良好的社会反响。
倪欢还在8月16日将作为上海深耕社区可持续发展的社会组织代表，受邀请参加由中国连锁经营协会和联合国环境署驻华代表处联合主办的一年一度“可持续消费周”在北京的宣传推广活动，并作为嘉宾发言。
